Birds of Pakistan

As I observed in my last birding in Margalla Hills that maigratiory birds are still to come so I decided to explore some other areas. I heard that some of my friends hunt in Indus River in D.I.Khan. So I decided to visit that area to see some new flora and fauna. It was a long journy 5 to 6 Hour drive from Islamabad to Dera Ismail Khan. At 12 noon we started our journey and on our way we stayed for a while at Namal Lake. Namal University, Mianwali I stopped there for a short time to see the place and to discover some new birds. Migratory birds are not coming but still some birds were there. More likely resident birds but in future its a good place for migratory birds and hope to see a lot on my next trip to Namal Lake. The Pandionidae family contains only one species, the osprey. The osprey is a medium-large raptor which is a specialist fish-eater with a worldwide distribution. Osprey,  Pandion haliaetus Osprey - Indus River (D.I.Khan)

Mostly I do birding on Saturday but because of some health issues I was not able to do proper Birding on Saturday. So on Sunday I planned again to go Margalla Hills for birding with Irshad Sheikh. We planned a quick visit to our new friend Blue-capped rock thrush. So we reached the spot and were hopeful to meet it again. We hid ourselves in car and waited for Blue-capped rock thrush. During this wait we met several other friends like Himalayan Bulbul, Red Vented Bulbul, White Eye, Rufous Treepie, White Throated Fantail, Rose-Ringed Parakeet ,  Large Billed Crow, Oriental Blue Robin, Cinereous Tit, Brown-fronted woodpecker, Grey-hooded warbler and  Blue-capped rock thrush. For birding I bought a binocular and tested it in my office's garden. It was a fun for me to see how beautiful the birds are, but this observation went wrong when I felt pain in my eyes.After the use of binocolar my eyes got sensitive to light so I had to stop this observation thing and for two days I completely rested my eyes. I planned a short birding trip to Margalla hills but start was not good. I woke up late around 6 a.m and I was a bit confused either to go for birding or not but when I saw weather, it was cool so I tooke a chance and went for birding to Margalla.                                  On the way towards Margalla hills sun came out and I felt that it was going to be a hot day. I was not very optimistic to find some new birds and it seemed like a meetup with old friends. As I observe from my last week's birding that birds are fewer and weather is also hot. So today early morning I planned a quick visit to D12, though not a proper birding trip but more than like a Morning walk or Drive. During this drive I saw some common birds like Common Myna, House Crow, Indian Robin, Indian Roller, Stonechats, Bushchats, Black Kites, Hoopee, Shrike, Prinia, White Throated Kingfisher etc. I select D12 for birding because firstly in D12 you can observe birds while  driving and its like a bird's safari and secondly in D12 you may find big birds like Kite, Eagle, Kestrial and Shikra etc. During my birding I saw a Shikra but could not capture it other birds, I captured are: Red Rumped Swallow - D-12, Islamabad Barn Swallow - Rawalpindi   Long Tailed Shrike - D-12, Islamabad Black Kite - D-12, Islamabad little Cormorant - D-12, Islamabad Paddyfield Warbler - D-12, Islamabad (New Entry) Plain Prinia - D-12, Islamabad Common...
