Other Wildlife

The wildlife of Pakistan comprises a diverse flora and fauna in a wide range of habitats from sea level to high elevation areas in the mountains, including 177 mammal and 660 bird species. This diverse composition of the country's fauna is associated with its location in the transitional zone between two major zoogeographical regions, the Palearctic, and the Oriental.

                               During my birding I come across many other animals in wild so on this page I am going to display pictures of those animals.

After short stay at Namal Lake we started our journey towards D.I.Khan. On my way towards D.I.Khan we crossed chashma barrage and I was very eager to do birding there but they did not allow us to do Photography, But at chashma  barrage I was very happy to see a large number of migratory birds and hoped to find some new birds at my destination. Chashma Barrage - D.I.Khan On my way towards D.I.Khan I also saw the Kafer kot (7th century CE) heritage site. Kafir Kot consists of the ruins of 5 temples, and the ruins of a large fort protecting the site. According to the district Gazetteer of Mianwali of 1915 the remains of Kafirkot (and the nearby ruin of Mari) "are indication of the existence of a Hindu civilization of considerable importance and antiquity". Accipitridae is a family of birds of prey, which includes hawks, eagles, kites, harriers and Old World vultures. These birds have powerful hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong legs, powerful talons and keen eyesight.
