Birding Blog 1-10-2017 (Margalla)

Mostly I do birding on Saturday but because of some health issues I was not able to do proper Birding on Saturday. So on Sunday I planned again to go Margalla Hills for birding with Irshad Sheikh. We planned a quick visit to our new friend Blue-capped rock thrush. So we reached the spot and were hopeful to meet it again. We hid ourselves in car and waited for Blue-capped rock thrush. During this wait we met several other friends like Himalayan Bulbul, Red Vented Bulbul, White Eye, Rufous Treepie, White Throated Fantail, Rose-Ringed Parakeet, Large Billed Crow, Oriental Blue Robin, Cinereous Tit, Brown-fronted woodpecker, Grey-hooded warbler and  Blue-capped rock thrush.

Sparrows are small passerine birds. In general, sparrows tend to be small, plump, brown or grey birds with short tails and short powerful beaks. Sparrows are seed eaters, but they also consume small insects. There are 11 species which occur in Pakistan.
